RV Life

For most of you this might be new information, for some, not so much. I enjoy my way of life, and find it frightening that one day it may, out of necessity, change.

I’ve been living and traveling in a recreational vehicle since April, 2000. In that time I have learned much from those I have met, and even more through experience. I’m a bit hard-headed and like to do things my way. Sometimes my way is not exactly the right, or easy, way. And, always my way is not your way.

IMG_20180619_130009176_FotorI am not going to try to convince you that you should become an active member of the nomadic minority. I am going to suggest, however, that you give this way of life a try. Whether it be for a couple years, 2-3 months, or even just 10 days, this lifestyle will get you to thinking differently about your environment. It’s so much easier to realize the importance you have on your environment, globally and locally, when you have become an intimate part of that environment. RV living puts you in the middle of it.

IMGP0438During my time on the road I have learned much from many. The greatest resource I have found, though, is the Escapees RV club. If you are not familiar with this organization, I recommend you check out their website. This group of people spend most of their time (if not all) living and traveling in an RV. They are very supportive of one another, willing to assist anyone in need at any time, and enjoy life as they find it.

WorkingAMAI’ve lived in many different environments, in all kinds of weather. This website is not about purchasing an RV, repairing an RV, or any other technical thing about an RV. By no means am I an expert in anything RV related, but I have learned a few things along the way. I am going to share some of those things with you. Not everything you read here will be of use to you, but it has served me well. Use what you want, share what you will, and remember to enjoy life, however you find it.

P.S. Check back from time to time. I will be updating this site as time allows. The problem with the RV lifestyle is how full your days become. There’s the trails, the critters (big and small), the rain, sun, wind, and snow, naps, stars, rainbows, sunrise, sunset, and the occasional unicorn. And, yes, there is always Happy Hour.
